I had something stolen from me, at the age of nineteen. A friend, of a friend, found himself meritorious.
“I just start kissing them. It’s like a magnet. Just kiss. I don’t even wait. And when you’re a star, they let you do it. You can do anything…. Grab ’em by the pussy. You can do anything.”
White. Male. Privilege.
So. I. March–in the streets of Wichita, KS. Alongside women I’ve never met before.
That friend of a friend wasn’t the only man. Another was a stranger and yet another was a friend.
I shouldn’t be bullied into saying “no”–multiple times. There were at least a dozen “no’s”, and three bullies.
“But still, like dust, I rise.”
Today, I am feeling Feminist A*F*** Thank you Natalie Portman, Viola Davis, Halsey and Co… In Solidarity.
