Daddy Issues

Last night I went to bed thinking about the last time I saw my father. I was attempting to write about his final moments and went into full panic mode: rapid heartbeat; brain-in-vice, tension headache; and a numbing pain in my arms which dis-invited my fingers the ability to blog via text.

Today will be 14 years; 14 years since I watched a camel-colored moccasin fall from the left foot of my father, as the defibrillator paddles sent a jolt through his body.

Dad-and-Me

As my father would say: “Walk it off, Dani.”
